Printing Solutions, LEAP Master Partner
Creating and building community partnerships is the mission of the Lawrence Education Achievement Partners (LEAP), one branch of the Lawrence Schools Foundation. Our schools are fortunate to have so many wonderful partnerships in this community, including those who are recognized as Master LEAP Partners for support (cash, in-kind gifts and volunteer value) totaling $10,000 or more in a single school year.
One of those Master Partners is Printing Solutions, owned by Terry Jacobsen and John Hutton. Printing Solutions works closely with South Middle School and Lawrence High School, while also serving as a district-wide partner.
The company donates all or part of the printing for both high schools’ drama and music departments, as well as for some of the sports teams. They also donate or furnish at cost, shirts, printed programs, advertising and mailing for selected groups in the schools. Printing Solutions also donates the printing of the Foundation’s Annual Report.
“We believe that simply operating a business in the community is not enough,” Jacobsen said. “We want to contribute to the Lawrence community and be a part of the good things that are happening.”
Between Jacobsen and Hutton, they have had nine children and four grandchildren attend Lawrence Public Schools.
“We have been grateful for the education that our children have received in the Lawrence Public Schools,” Jacobsen said. “Our children have had dedicated teachers, staff and coaches that have worked with each of them to help them achieve their highest potential.”
