    Supplies Needed for Class

    Welcome to Team Harvard 7 English/Language Arts! I'm glad you're here and I am so excited to be your language arts teacher for the 2024-2025 school year! In this class, we will work on improving our reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. For this class, you will need an 80-page Composition Notebook. Please do not purchase a spiral bound notebook as this will not work for our class. If you're having trouble getting a Composition Notebook, please let me know!

    ABOUT ME:

    This will be my sixth year teaching middle school language arts, and my fourth year at West Middle School. I received my Bachelor's in Secondary Educationand Master's in English, both from Kansas State University (Go State!).

    I live in Lawrence with my spouse, Drew; our four-year-old, Olivia; our one-year-old, Jameson; and our 8-year-old Blue Heeler pup, Rowdy.

    In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, and being outside. I also really enjoy re-watching my favorite TV shows, including Gilmore Girls, The Office, and Parks and Rec.
